Hi everyone! Today I'll like to talk about a person in my field who I really admire and inspires me a lot. Her name is Giuliana Furci, she's a chilean-italian mycologist, in other words, an expert of the Fungi kingdom. She's the first female mycologist in Chile, and also is the founder of Fungi Fundation: the first foundation in the world that cares of this kind of organisms. Regarding her merits, se helped to incorporated the Fungi kingdom into Chilean environmental legislation, in addition to having numbers of publications about this topic. She defines her conection with the nature's protection as a deep calling, and she's devoted to discover and divulge about this living beings. I admire her because of her passion to preserve the Earth's creatures. She's absolutely one of my idols, and she inspires me to be a better professional and to put my heart in defense of non-human creatures.
Hi Valentina! I follow her page on Instagram, but I didn't know more about her history, and it's very inspiring! maybe all of us feel at least once in our lifetime that kind of deep calling. Let us hope that more people follow this sound to enter to this beautiful world.
